Andrea Subissati is a sociologist and a writer. She is also co-founder of The Black Museum horror lecture series and co-host/editor of The Faculty of Horror podcast.
In 2010, her first book on the social impact of zombie cinema was published under the title When There’s No More Room in Hell: The Sociology of the Living Dead. Since then, Lady Hellbat has become a voice in horror journalism thanks to her appearances in Rue Morgue Magazine and on the Rue Morgue Podcast. Her writing has also appeared on Planet Fury, the TIFF Midnight Madness blog, and she has contributed chapters to the academic book The Undead and Theology (2012) and the forthcoming Canadian horror anthology Terror of the Soul.
Lady Hellbat is also co-curator of The Black Museum, a horror lecture series she started with Canuxploitation creator Paul Corupe. In December 2012, she launched the monthly horror podcast The Faculty of Horror, with writer Alexandra West.
